Latest News The difference you're making Thanks to donations from wonderful supporters like you, we’re changing more lives than ever. Here is a round-up of a few of our recent highlights. With donations from Family supporters, our Changemakers in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka provided critical frontline support to meet the diverse needs of children and families affected by COVID-19. Family is now made up of 41 Changemaker organisations in 36 countries. With each Changemaker organisation that joins Family, we gain valuable knowledge and expertise, taking us closer to creating a world where every child can grow up in a permanent, safe and caring family. A new study on Sexual Violence affecting boys in Zimbabwe that adds to our growing body of locally-led research on this topic was developed with our Changemaker in Zimbabwe. Family Changemakers participated in the United Nations Day of General Discussion on Children in Alternative Care (UN DGD) to share their experiences and their ideas to improve the child care system worldwide. A virtual exhibition of children’s art and stories,"Life During Covid" that brings together visual art and the written word, with contributions from 101 children from 15 countries was launched. 13 episodes of our podcast "Care during COVID-19" were released where Family Changemakers explored both the challenges they face and their many innovative solutions. We developed our ambitious 2021-2025 Strategy, which focuses on how we can collectively make change happen at scale for the children and families who need us around the world. Blue Umbrella Day, a day that aims to raise awareness of how to better care for boys and protect them from sexual violence was organised for the first time in 2021. It’s time to support Kinship Care, a campaign calling for better support for kinship care went live.
