Family Week’s second open event discussed the centrality of family for children's development, wellbeing and realisation of their rights; and consider what this means for child welfare reform. Discussions took place in relation to Family’s current priority themes: kinship care, children on the move and sexual violence. The event featured a panel of Family’s members including Butterflies (India), Uyisenga ni Imanzi (Rwanda), Taller de Vida (Colombia) and CONACMI (Guatemala), together with Family for Every Child Secretariat CEO Amanda Griffith. Participating panelists provided pre-recorded presentation on their advocacy work, drawing linkages with the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and exploring calls to action.
