In this external online event Family for Every Child Members Juconi (Mexico) and Partnership for Every Child (P4EC, Russia) will share their experiences and learnings around monitoring the reintegration of children into family-based care. Joining them is the RISE Learning Network who contribute experience based on their Monitoring & Evaluation Toolkit, which has been used across many organisations and regions. Senior Programme Advisor at Family for Every Child, William Gali, will moderate the session.

Presenter biographies

Diana Alejandra Ruiz Cruz, Juconi

Diana Ruiz is an anthropologist at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, has 6 years of experience specializing in the collection, analysis and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative data under the social approach. For four years she has been responsible for Monitoring and Evaluation in Fundación JUCONI México, A. C. taking care of processing, dissemination and provide feedback to different areas of the organization, based on accurate data that results from therapeutic processes with families, implement and develop projects related to the improvement of processes for the collection and systematization of population data, design implement tools that make information consultation efficient. She has received training on management, reporting and data analysis, as well as on issues related to work with vulnerable population and violence.

Jo Rogers, P4EC

Joanna Rogers is the Head of Strategic Development at Partnership for Every Child in Russia and the founder and senior consultant of the P4EC Consultancy group. She is also and Associate Consultant at Oxford Policy Management. Joanna has a MSc in Social Work from specialist social work university Ersta Skondal HogSkola in Stockholm. She has worked on child protection and family support system reform in many countries around the world including China, Russia, Mongolia, Tunisia and Slovakia for over 25 years for NGOs, governments and international agencies like UNICEF. She is currently heading a P4EC Consultancy group team providing technical assistance to a joint UN agencies SDG Fund programme in Turkmenistan that aims to develop community based social services for children and adults. She is also advising the Asian Development Bank on disability inclusive development programming. She is an expert in monitoring and evaluation, social service system reform, child and family support, disability policy and programmes.

Lopa Bhattacharjee, Family for Every Child

Lopa Bhattacharjee is a child protection practitioner and has been working in the sector for almost 20 years now.  In this time, she has worked with community based organisations, national CSOs and law enforcement agencies at local, national and regional levels in South Asia. Lopa also has extensive experience of steering South Asian Regional Action Forums focusing on care and protection of children and women affected by sexual violence. She headed the child protection programmes of Terre des Hommes Foundation in India from 2008 – 2015.

Currently Lopa is a Senior Programme Advisor at Family for Every Child and leads the global portfolios of sexual violence affecting children, reintegration and child participation. She provides technical support and engages with the member organisations of the alliance in leveraging and promoting the local practices of care for children and families to contribute to enriching the global learning.Lopa is also an active Child Safeguarding Specialist supporting different organisation (profit and non-profit) to embed and strengthen organisational safeguarding systems and procedures, with special focus on preventing child sexual abuse.
