The RISE Learning Network is a unique global hub of organisations, involved in innovative and advanced work with children and adolescents affected by sexual exploitation. It is estimated that as many as 2 million children are sexually exploited around the world every year (UNICEF). This type of abuse is widespread and its impact is devastating on children, producing long-term physical and mental effects. Implemented by Family for Every Child in partnership with Retrak and the International Centre at the University of Bedfordshire with a grant from the Oak Foundation, the RISE Learning Network promotes and facilitates learning activities on recovery and (re)-integration for children and adolescents affected by sexual exploitation in three focus regions – Latin America and the Caribbean, sub-Saharan Africa and South and Central Asia. FIND OUT MORE Project objectives To establish and manage a locally accessible global network, utilising global and regional online learning hubs, to support learning on recovery and reintegration for children affected by sexual exploitation. To develop and implement three learning projects that capture local learning in order to positively influence policy and practice on recovery and reintegration for children affected by sexual exploitation. To improve, regionally and globally, policy and practice on recovery and reintegration for children affected by sexual exploitation, by collecting and disseminating the learning from this project.
